Sussex County GOP to Hold Second Small Business Breakfast April 28

Senator Bryant Richardson, House Minority Leader Danny Short, and former Trump adviser Bill Pettigrew will be presenting


Seaford, Del., April 21—After the resounding success of its first Small Business Breakfast in March, the GOP continues its business networking series with presentations in April by business owners/legislators Bryant Richardson and Danny Short. Trump adviser Bill Pettigrew will also be on hand to discuss underutilized opportunities for Delaware business owners in the lucrative area of government contracts. This second event will take place at the Stargate Diner in Seaford and begins at 7:30 AM.

“Our last event was very well received,” says Sussex County Republican Committee Chair Marilyn Booker. “We heard very positive comments from the attendees, and the series is generating a lot of interest locally.”

About Senator Bryant Richardson


Senator Richardson is the prior owner of Morning Star Publications, which publishes the Laurel Star, Seaford Star, and Salisbury Star. He is also past president of the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce and the Seaford Kiwanis Club. Throughout his rich and varied career, Richardson has won numerous awards including Small Business Administration Journalist of the Year for Delaware and Small Businessperson of the Year for the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce. He has served in the Delaware Senate since 2014 and currently represents the 21st Senate District.


About Representative Danny Short


Former Mayor of Seaford, State Representative Danny Short represents the 39th District and is the owner of Short Insurance Associates, Inc., an independent insurance agency in Seaford. He is the recipient numerous awards including the State of Delaware public service award, and he was recognized in 2008 by the AFRAM (African American) Festival as their Public Servant of the Year. Short was also recognized in 2010 with the Legislative Leadership Award by the Small Business Administration (SBA).


About Bill Pettigrew


William Pettigrew served as Senior Advisor to the Office of Small Business Utilization (OSBU) in the Trump administration. In this capacity he worked to streamline processes for small business participation with GSA focusing on social media communication and outreach to the small business community. He also served as a manager and partner at several private sector IT companies.
