   Lillian Martin Memorial Scholarship Application

This scholarship was created to honor Lillian Martin, who established the Sussex County Republican Women’s Club (SCRWC) in 1952.  The mission of the SCRWC is to assist in the election of Republican candidates, act as an advocate for Republican Party principles, and empower women to participate in the political process. As such, our club is pleased to offer financial assistance up to $1,500 to students in Sussex County, Delaware, who meet the SCRWC Scholarship Committee requirements.  Recipients will be selected based on a review of information provided by this application, a committee interview, and approval of the SCRWC Board. The scholarship monies will be paid directly to the school that the applicant plans to attend.

 

Requirements:

Female resident of Sussex County, Delaware
Proof of status as student enrolled in accredited post-secondary program
Completed application form with all required attachments
Copy of high school or college transcript with certified GPA of at least 2.5
Proof of residency in Sussex County and voter registration ( if age 18 years or older)
Completed application postmarked by March 31 and  mailed to address above.
